Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Compliance and EFRIS Management
- Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
- Manage and operate EFRIS for accurate tax reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all local tax laws and regulations.
2. Inventory and Financial Management
- Oversee inventory transactions, ensuring accurate recording and valuation of stock.
- Conduct periodic stock reconciliations to align inventory with financial records.
- Provide financial insights to support inventory control and business decisions.
3. Bank and Supplier Reconciliation
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between financial records and bank statements.
- Reconcile supplier accounts to track payments, outstanding invoices, and credit terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth transactions and account management.
4. Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate periodic management reports to provide insights into business performance.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
5. General Accounting Duties
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation for financial reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a hardware or inventory-based business.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, including EFRIS, VAT, and PAYE.
- Experience in bank and supplier reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar systems).
- Strong understanding of inventory management and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
