Job Title:  Accounts Assistant -Revenue Assurance

Reports To:  Accounts Supervisor Receivables

Job Purpose 

The overall purpose of the job is to provide technical support to the finance function by  monitoring and tracking of all upcountry customer invoices and handling all invoicing  queries from customers.


Responsibilities 

  • Perform day to day reconciliation of all Route-sales accounts. 
  • Undertake all Accounting duties from time to time for all company Depots when  required. 
  • Provide support in raising of company’s sales invoices in line with company policies  and procedures. 
  • Responsible for timely coordination, monitoring transaction accuracy in sap vs field  assist application 
  • Support sales team in ensuring full compliance with Efris system 
  • Responsible for timely reconciliation of customer Accounts 
  • Perform any other finance and administrative duties assigned by the Supervisor  from time to time. 
  • Support Treasurer Team, ensuring all bank deposits are captured in Company  Accounting software


Person Specification 

  • Education, Training,  Skills & Experience 
  • Knowledge, experience and qualifications required  
  • Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration from a recognized  institution. 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ related experience.

  • Computer skills with working knowledge of MS Excel 
  • Good numerical skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to lead by example and provide guidance to others (collaboration and  leadership).

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Effective communication skills 
  • Ability to work as a team 
  • Negotiation skills especially when dealing with suppliers/vendors


Responsibility for finances and physical assets  

The job holder has no responsibility for equipment, finances or stock except for  the stocks and work tools assigned. 


Decision-making 

The job holder has no final authority on key decisions in the department other  than routine decisions related to execution of work. 


Information  

The job requires a normal level of confidentiality 


Working Conditions  

Working Environment: The jobholder is exposed to a conducive work environment with minimum disagreeable conditions.  


Job Hazards: The jobholder is not exposed to hazards.
