Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Ensure smooth daily operations of the branch, including member services, cash management, and administrative tasks.
- Implement and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate branch reports.
Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
- Promote our products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within the community.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and identify training needs for staff development.
- Foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
Financial Management:
- Oversee the branch budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Monitor branch loan portfolio, ensuring timely disbursements and collections.
- Manage risks, including delinquency and fraud, to safeguard the company’s assets.
Customer Relations:
- Maintain high levels of member satisfaction by addressing inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly.
- Build strong relationships with members and the community to enhance the company's reputation.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure branch adherence to all company policies, financial regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in SACCOs, microfinance, or banking, with 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of financial services, lending, and deposit mobilization.
- Excellent understanding of SACCO operations and regulatory requirements.
