Advanced Communications LTD is advertising this role for their company, The Infrastructure Magazine. Hence, this role is for The Infrastructure Magazine. Your principal role will be the business development function of the Magazine. This involves existing clients service to retain their business, but also to attract new advertising, sponsorship and partnerships business for the Magazine.

Job Description/Requirements

Specific functions:

  • Developing strategies, plans, and activities to attract business for the Magazine across its different platforms.
  • Prospecting for business by identifying potential clients and keeping a list of potential clients at all times.
  • Initiating ideas/proposals to interest potential customers in the work of the Magazine and award business, and to get existing clients to continue giving new business.
  • Drafting proposals, making follow-ups with clients to sign business orders.
  • Making sales presentations and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Following up with clients to sign orders.
  • Meeting sales goals and targets.
  • Ensure good customer care by professionally attending to, answering questions, and providing information required by clients.
  • Building good relations with customers so as to encourage repeat business.


Who we are looking for:


  • Ideally be a graduate from a recognized university, in Business Administration, Commerce with a bias in Marketing. Candidates with experience selling advertising in the media with qualifications in other fields other than marketing can apply. We also welcome applicants who are diploma holders but with relevant experience.
  • Experience of at least 2 years selling advertising space for an established publications/media outlet. If you don’t have 2 years’ experience but have demonstrable drive and passion, still apply.
  • Ultimately, we are looking for self-driven, result-oriented achievers who drive personal targets.
  •  To be considered, you will demonstrate some strategic thinking, high levels of motivation, strategic planning, ambition and good presentation skills.
  •  We are looking for passion for results, hard work, talent, and innovativeness.


Remuneration: This role is a commissionable position. We, however, offer attractive commissions and other incentives. In addition, you will receive a weekly transport allowance (based on your performance). Deadline: All applications should be received by April 14, 2025.
