Civil Engineer- FMCG Industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and supervise civil engineering projects, including factory setups, warehouse expansions, and industrial infrastructure.
• Ensure project execution aligns with local and international construction codes, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and structural assessments.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Prepare and review blueprints, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
• Manage project budgets, procurement of materials, and labor allocation.
• Oversee maintenance and improvement of existing structures and industrial facilities.
• Implement quality control measures to enhance project efficiency and durability.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams and resolve on-site issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial construction, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and other civil engineering software.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan construction regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in industrial plant construction and factory maintenance.
• Understanding of sustainable construction techniques and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with contract management and vendor coordination.
