Role Overview:
This is a volunteer remote role for a Community Coordinator at Zentrix Africa Technology Institute.
As a Community Coordinator, you will play a key role in fostering connections within our learner and instructor community. You will manage online communication platforms, organize events, and create engagement strategies to enhance the ZATI experience. This volunteer role is vital in ensuring our community members feel connected, supported, and inspired to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement:
- Actively interact with students, instructors, and partners through online platforms, including Slack, forums, and social media.
- Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that promotes collaboration and participation.
Events and Activities:
- Plan and execute engaging virtual activities such as webinars, Q&A sessions, and orientation programs.
- Act as a host or moderator during community events.
Communication and Outreach:
- Respond to member inquiries and provide assistance to students and instructors as needed.
- Share regular updates, announcements, and newsletters to keep the community informed.
- Create content to promote ZATI’s vision and programs, including blog posts, social media updates, and videos.
Feedback Collection and Improvement:
- Gather and analyze feedback from community members to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with instructional and administrative teams to implement solutions based on feedback.
Membership Growth:
- Develop strategies to attract new learners and instructors to the ZATI community.
- Create and maintain relationships with alumni to encourage mentorship and ongoing engagement.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, or a related field (completed or in progress).
- Experience in community management, student engagement, or volunteer coordination is an asset.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in online tools such as Slack, Zoom, or similar communication platforms.
- Familiarity with social media management and content creation.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
