Job Type: Full-time contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Delivery: Teach a variety of cosmetology courses, including hair cutting, coloring, styling, skincare, makeup application, and nail care. Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice sessions.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in developing, updating, and evaluating the cosmetology curriculum to ensure it meets current industry standards and best practices.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
- Hands-On Training: Supervise students during practical sessions, providing guidance and support as they practice techniques on clients or mannequins.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the cosmetology industry. Incorporate new trends into the curriculum and classroom activities.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, ensuring that students follow safety and hygiene practices during training.
- Student Support: Provide academic and career guidance to students, helping them understand the requirements for success in the cosmetology field.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and feedback. Participate in faculty meetings and other institutional activities.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in cosmetology or a related field.
- A relevant diploma or degree in Cosmetology or a related field.
- A valid cosmetology license and strong practical experience in the industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to develop and implement lesson plans and training activities.
- Knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to helping students succeed.
