Job Purpose

We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our team, responsible for safely transporting personnel, goods, and equipment to required destinations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficiency, while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Company background

Uganda Tea Corporation has been a leading tea producer and exporter in Uganda for the last 20 years. It has three estates with its headquarters at Kasaku near Lugazi. Kasaku is about 48km from Kampala and 40km from Jinja.

Job Identification

• Duty station: Kasaku, Salama, Luwala Estates

• Reporting to: Estate Manager

Job specification

• Transport personnel, goods, and equipment to designated locations.
• Maintain Vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safety and adhere to traffic regulations.
• Fulfill administrative tasks like airport pick-ups.
• Should be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Candidate specification

• Educational requirements: Valid driver’s license (class B)
• Work experience: 2-3 years.

Required skills

• Excellent driving skills and safety record, strong communication skills, ability to work independently as part of a team, basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, physical stamina for long drives, should have a fair command of the English language.
