Job Summary:
AVODA is looking for someone passionate about empowering entrepreneurs in the developing world and committed to creating valuable resources for both them and their instructors, with a knack for turning complex material into accessible learning tools and is excited by the challenge of crafting physical educational content.
The Educational Content Project Manager (hereafter “PM”) will be in charge of creating the “AVODA Suite” (hereafter “Suite”), a seamless package of 1) educational videos, 2) corresponding physical student workbooks, and 3) corresponding instructor physical guidebooks, all of which must be centralized around AVODA’s online platform, AVICS (AVODA Interest & Credit Score) System. After completion, the Suite will be licensed out to dozens of business accelerators/incubators in the developing world.
This role demands strong project planning, project execution, and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse content providers. It requires professional levels of English reading and writing, familiarity with LMS (learning management systems) and, preferably, familiarity with creating digital and physical educational content (videos, desktop publishing, graphics design).
Finally, it also requires strong commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and experience in managing content-creation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project planning and design:
- Objectives definition: Clearly define the objectives of the instructional videos, entrepreneur workbook, instructor guidebook, and AVICS Platform.
- Timeline and milestones: Develop and execute a detailed project timeline with specific milestones for each phase, such as content integration, platform customization, and user testing.
2. Content modification (for existing content):
- Oversee the creation and modification of existing videos, slides, student workbook, and instructor guide must be modified into consistent formats with consistent pedagogies.
- Utilize AI tools to create content where existing content is incomplete.
3. Content creation (for non-existing content):
- Plan and manage the creation of new content through collaboration with content creators, video crew, desktop publishers, etc.
- Create exams and quizzes with multiple choice questions for all courses, using AI where appropriate.
4. Content integration and testing:
- Integrate all online and physical content into a seamless package (the AVODA Suite), with the AVICS platform at its center.
- Conduct full testing of the whole AVODA Suite.
5. Launch and post-launch:
- Manage and coordinate the launch of the beta-version of the AVODA Suite in Tanzania by Q3 2025, testing its user-experience on a Tanzanian partner organization identified by AVODA management working closely with local partners.
- Create feedback loop and users’ guide for the AVODA Suite, based upon reporting and customer support from Tanzanian partners, and implement necessary improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a content-creation role and e-learning platforms or instructional design.
- Technical skills required, such as video editing software, graphic design tools and LMS platforms.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the education or entrepreneurship sectors.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously at an international pace.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
