Field Operations Officer (Part Time)

Responsibilities

1. Client Relations: Meeting with clients and partners to discuss services, gather requirements, or negotiate terms. This could involve on-site visits to understand operations better and to offer personalized logistics solutions.
2. Site Inspections: Visiting warehouses, ports, and other logistics facilities to ensure operations are running smoothly. Checking on the loading and unloading of goods, the conditions of shipments, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
3. Coordination and Oversight: Overseeing transportation schedules and making sure that vehicles and shipping lines are working efficiently. This includes coordinating with drivers, fleet managers, and other logistics personnel.
4. Reporting and Communication: Providing feedback and regular updates to the headquarters or management team. This could include reports on field observations, market trends, and potential new business opportunities.
5. Problem Solving: Quickly addressing any issues that arise, such as shipment delays, damaged goods, or client complaints. A field agent needs to be proactive and resourceful to minimize disruptions.
6. Market Analysis: Gathering information on local market trends, potential clients, and competition. This includes assessing demand in the region and identifying ways to improve or expand service offerings.
7. Compliance: Ensuring that all operations comply with local and international regulations, such as customs laws and safety standards.
