Freight Forwarder

Responsibilities

1. Organize and coordinate the transportation of goods via air, sea, and land, with a particular focus on the export of base and precious metals, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
2. Prepare and handle all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
3. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and addressing any concerns or issues.
4. Develop and implement efficient logistics plans to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
5. Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers, ensuring the best possible terms for the company and clients.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, ensuring all activities are compliant with legal requirements.
7. Maintain accurate records of shipments, transactions, and correspondence for reporting and auditing purposes.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
4. In-depth understanding of transportation methods, regulations, and documentation requirements.
5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
