Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in gender studies, Development Studies or Human Rights;
- An Honor’s Degree in Humanities (Gender option).
Experience
A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
- Offer technical support to Colleges in planning, budgeting and monitoring Gender responsive activities;
- Assist the Principal Gender officer in mainstreaming Gender in Colleges;
- Be responsible for the capacity building and training of GMD student peer trainers;
- Collaborate with GMD student peer trainers to implement activities to reach out to fellow students;
- Coordinate the implementation of the Makerere University Gender Policy at College Level;
- Coordinate the implementation of the Policy and Regulations on sexual harassment at College level;
- Assist the Principal Gender Officer in implementing Gender activities in the Colleges;
- Perform any other related duties as assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
