Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose:
Achieve sales targets in the relevant key account segment by retaining existing customers and growing the customer base through active promotion, selling and efficient sales transactions.
Specific duties and responsibilities
1) Achieve sales targets in line with annual sales targets;
- Present, promote and sell products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Solicit and process customer orders in a timely fashion.
- Follow up invoicing, dispatch and ensure timely delivery of customers’ orders.
- Promote new products and special deals.
2) Continuously win markets and grow customer base in key account segment.
- Continually gather and report information on customer needs, preferences, product performance, market trends and competition.
- Advise management on stock movement of products and brands.
- Initiate ideas on sales promotions, loyalty plans and other initiatives to grow market segment.
- Actively participate in marketing activities such as organizing promotional events, trade fairs, etc.
3) Customer care management
- Provide after-sales care to customers by proactively reaching out to customers and enquiring about their experience and how the products are performing.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints and escalate any issues requiring further management.
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers.
4) Credit customers management
- Conduct credit transactions review and make recommendations to management.
- Ensure that all sales administration procedures are properly implemented.
- Ensure recovery of all balances owed to the company by credit clients.
- Ensure customer account balances tally with company records at all times and assist in customer account reconciliation.
5) Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
6) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Job requirements
- Education: Strictly Bachelor of Marketing from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: At least 1 (one) years’ experience in a field sales role.
- Competencies: Understanding of sales processes and dynamics, Self-driven, fast paced, and able to meet sales targets; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to quickly build rapport; Customer care skills; Creative with high level of initiative, prioritization and organization;
- High level of integrity; Data analysis and report writing skills, Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
