Job Description/Requirements
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and review of HR initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems;
- Manage the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the hiring process from start to finish right from Identifying HR gaps to onboarding;
- Provide support in the preparation of the monthly payroll, maintaining payroll-related documents, and ensuring payroll information is properly documented and filed.;
- Assist in performance management processes, including timely probation and annual appraisal processes, contract renewals, etc;
- Develop and implement University-wide staff training and development programs;
- Preparation of HR-related statistics and periodic reports to Management and Boards;
- Manage the Academic Staff Promotions process from start to finish;
- Supervise Junior support staff at the College.
Qualification and experience:
- Must have a good Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Organizational Behavior, or Organizational Psychology.
- Must have at least two years of working experience in a Human Resource Office.
- Must be conversant with Uganda Labor Laws.
- Must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet).
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have good interpersonal skills especially when dealing with students, staff, and visitors.
- Must be a person of high integrity with an excellent working ethic.
- Must be a committed and practicing Christian.
