The Individual Life Sales Agent is responsible for driving the sales of individual life insurance products by identifying potential clients, building strong relationships, and achieving sales targets.
The role requires in-depth knowledge of life insurance products, exceptional customer service, and a proactive approach to engaging clients.
Duty Station; Kampala, Mbarara, Jinja, Mbale and Gulu
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Customer Acquisition and Relationship Building:
- Identify and approach potential customers for individual life insurance products.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients to understand their life insurance needs.
- Conduct customized sales presentations to effectively communicate the value and benefits of individual life insurance.
2. Sales Target Achievement:
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets for individual life insurance products.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales in assigned territories.
- Provide regular updates and insights on sales performance to the management team.
3. Product Knowledge and Promotion:
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of individual life insurance products, including features and benefits.
- Educate clients on the importance of life insurance and guide them in choosing suitable products.
- Promote individual life insurance through tailored selling approaches and customer engagement strategies.
4. Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and needs promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate issuance of life insurance policies.
- Assist clients with the claims process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
5. Compliance and Administration:
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies related to life insurance sales.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of customer interactions, policies, and sales activities.
- Support marketing and promotional campaigns focused on individual life insurance products.
6. Collaboration and Networking:
- Build a network of potential clients through community engagement and personal outreach.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to foster a high-performing sales culture.
- Actively participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on product knowledge and market trends.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in selling individual life insurance or similar financial products.
- Strong understanding of life insurance products and sales techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about helping clients secure their futures.
- Certification in insurance (COP) is an added advantage.
