Required Qualifications

An Honours Bachelor's degree in Library or Information Science or Information Systems or Information Technology.

Skills/Competences

  1. Proficiency in computer systems including use of mail and the internet;
  2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  3. Integrity;
  4. Ability to work with teams;
  5. Quick judgement and decision making;
  6. Ability to initiate change.


  1. Process library materials;
  2. Replace lost/damaged Library materials;
  3. Maintain security of Library materials;
  4. Responsible for readers services;
  5. Provide reference work and circulation of library materials;
  6. Maintain the Library catalogue;
  7. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
