Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, the role also involves pharmacy audits, staff training, and financial tracking.

Job Description/Requirements
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Support pharmacy and laboratory purchases and pharmacy service delivery.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Surgical and drug orders
- Laboratory orders
- Pharmacy purchase invoices
- Pharmacy bills from providers
- Stock taking and pre-packing of medicines
- Pro-forma invoices
- Debtor accounts
- Quality parameters
- Correspondence
- Adherence to company policies
Other duties
DUTIES INCLUDES:
- Co-ordinating surgical and drug orders
- Co-ordinating laboratory orders
- Tracking of all pharmacy purchase invoices
- Assist in vetting pharmacy bills
- Assist pharmacy unit with stock take and pre-packing of medicines
- Sending quotations for first aid kits, coverage and training
- Preparing pro-forma invoices
- Perform impromptu pharmacy checks and audits
- Following up on debtors
- Recording of all revenue
- Ensure all pharmacy quality parameters are adhered to.
- Train pharmacy staff.
- Preparing purchase requisition request forms for all the purchases in the department
- Any other duties assigned
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
- Ensure orders are communicated to the suppliers and delivery of products as per the schedule.
- Ensure all invoices have been submitted for payment within 48 hours of delivery
- Ensure bills are vetted and completed in 48 hours of receipt
- Update drug price changes within 3 days of receiving new price lists
- Ensure reports from the different health centre pharmacies are done by 1st of every month
- Monthly reports relating to pharmacy are ready by 2nd of every month.
- Conduct quarterly training of pharmacy technicians.
- Ensure adherence to all prescribed pharmacy quality parameters.
- Conduct periodic pharmacy audits and implement recommendations in time.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Diploma in Pharmacy, plus 3 years of appropriate experience in pharmaceuticals operations
