Job Summary
The Saloon Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring the establishment runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, handling inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing operational processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality or bar industry and excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including barbers,cleaners,massage therapists,makeup artists, skin care specialists, and cashiers. Schedule shifts, handle conflicts, and ensure a high standard of service.
- Customer Service: Ensure guests have a positive experience by managing customer interactions, handling complaints professionally, and resolving issues promptly.
- Inventory and Stock Control: Manage inventory levels for drinks, food, and supplies. Track orders, monitor stock, and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee daily financial activities, including cash handling, balancing tills, budgeting, and sales reporting. Work to achieve revenue targets and control costs.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, ensuring all operations comply with health and safety regulations. Regularly inspect the premises and address maintenance issues.
- Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain regulars. Plan and oversee events, promotions, or themed nights.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain detailed records of expenses, payroll, inventory, and sales. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or business management is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role in a bar, restaurant, or similar environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills; proficient in inventory management and basic accounting.
- Personality Traits: Approachable, organized, motivated, and decisive, with a passion for hospitality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift items (up to 25 lbs).
