Roles and responsibilities
Growth & Profitability
- · Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to expand the client portfolio.
- · Develop and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and strategies to secure new clients.
- · Assist in leading negotiations and close deals aligned with the firm’s goals.
- · Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to inform business strategy.
- · Ensure cost-effective IT solutions are implemented to optimize business operations and profitability.
- · Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in IT and business development.
Leadership / Employee Excellence & Company Relationships
- · Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development.
- · Assist in the development of IT and business development policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- · Support the implementation of the office’s marketing and business plan in collaboration with management.
- · Conduct Information Security and awareness training for employees to ensure the best practices in IT resource usage.
- · Serve as a key contact for resolving IT-related issues raised by all employees.
- · Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- · Empower the team to improve internal client service and work processes continuously.
Market Focus / Client Centricity
- · Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- · Attend industry events, and networking functions to represent the firm and foster client relationships.
- · Actively network to build professional connections and generate leads.
- · Ensure timely and well-prepared proposals and presentation materials are developed in alignment with target-focused strategies.
- · Support the firm’s social media management, marketing campaigns, and promotional materials.
- · Collaborate with other teams to ensure the firm’s website and digital profile remain up to date.
- · Increase market share by expanding the IT services offered to clients.
- · Ensure IT services meet the needs of internal and external clients.
Operational Excellence:
- · Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- · Install, configure, and conduct routine maintenance on hardware, software, and applications.
- · Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- · Manage user access to systems, servers, and files, ensuring data security.
- · Maintain and update the firm's IT policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- · Conduct regular IT risk assessments and implement security protocols, including ISO compliance.
- · Ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) with IT vendors are adhered to.
- · Develop and maintain IT documentation, including support procedures and standard operating guidelines.
- · Ensure 100% compliance with brand promotion and communication based on Company and industry guidelines (PowerPoint/Word/PDF templates, videos, animation, graphic design, etc.).
- · Ensure the maintenance of Strategic Partners Company List (CVs, firm profiles, and credentials).
- · Monitor client satisfaction surveys and requests for reference letters post-engagement closure.
- · Ensure the firm’s brand management and visibility across external websites, mainstream, and social media.
- · Ensure compliance with the proposal development process.
- · Ensure timely updates on the firm’s brochures, company profile, posters, banners, etc.
- · Achieve Qualified Vendor certification with key entities.
Quality, Risk, and Compliance
- · Enforce strong security, privacy, and change controls in all operational systems.
- · Conduct IT general audits as per schedule, ensuring adherence to security policies.
- · Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including data protection and cybersecurity protocols.
- · Evaluate and select appropriate and cost-effective IT solutions for the firm.
- · Ensure that firmwide IT systems and processes align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- · Monitor and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting in IT and business development initiatives.
- · Ensure compliance with Company network branding requirements.
- · Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures for marketing and business development across service lines.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Partner/Director from time to time.
Experience & Qualifications
- · A degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- · 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, IT, or a combination of both
- · Proficiency in English and French is essential. Kirundi language skills are desirable.
