Role and Responsibilities
- Ensures the flawless and timely delivery of all international trade shipments within budget and without defects.
- Collaborates with internal teams (procurement, QC, sales, technical teams, etc.) and external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, third-party inspection bodies, clearing agents, etc.) to develop shipping and consolidation schedules/requirements, covering aspects such as shipping, packaging, delivery, documentation, and permits.
- Follows up on material readiness and oversees the entire inland and clearing operations until goods are safely received in the warehouse.
- Drafts, requests, and follows up on documents, including LC requirements, PI, CI, PL, BOL / AWB, Clean QC reports.
- Books shipments and provides comprehensive shipping and packing instructions.
- Monitors and updates stakeholders on shipment status, including time, cost, risks, and potential roadblocks.
- Highlights project delays and implements suitable solutions.
- Communicates project updates and shipping operations, addresses client queries effectively.
- Assigns and assesses clearing contracts for local entities.
- Sources new service providers (3PL, freight forwarders, certification bodies, clearing agents, etc.).
- Negotiates, drafts, and updates agreements/price lists with forwarders, inland transporters, and insurance companies, covering aspects such as price lists, payment terms, and transit times for Air/Sea/Land freight.
- Evaluates, monitors, and improves the performance of service providers.
- Stays informed about trade agreements between countries where operations are conducted.
- Updates tariff books and clearing fees in countries.
- Monitors shipping routes, vessel availabilities, and price fluctuations to optimize strategy and operations.
- Submits and analyzes reports and dashboards.
- Takes necessary actions to enhance operational and financial performance.
- Proposes and supports the implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Provides support and input/estimates for the bidding process.
- Supports, coaches, and provides technical input to local Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams.
- Implements Group fleet control process.
- Revises supplier and fleet selection criteria.
- Manages fleet repair history and sets yearly budgets.
- Implements an asset liquidation process.
- Monitors fuel consumption and optimizes fleet usage.
- Improves Sub contractual Agreements.
- Controls and optimizes Construction Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in terms of materials delivered/ordered from subcontractors.
- Enhances contractual agreements.
- Evaluates supplier sourcing and selection.
- Manages contracts to increase the rentability of each contract.
- Revamps processes and reshuffle contracts.
- Selects suppliers and implements inventory control measures.
- Improves accuracy and optimizes the inventory management system.
- Revamps processes for local procurement and logistics.
- Audits, controls, and optimizes the detailed processes to address gaps.
- Retrains the team to perform effectively when needed.
- Selects and recruits supply chain members.
- Aligns and optimizes the clearing process from port to warehouse/client premises.

Qualifications Requirements
- 6-10 years of relative work experience in international trade, Telecom industry is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of shipping and distribution channels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements
- CIPS Level 6 certification or bachelor’s in business administration or supply chain management or equivalent
