Background
Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit a dynamic and competent individual to fill the position of Technical Officer in Clinical Services based in Kamuli with frequent travels within Busoga region and anticipated minimal travels to Rwenzori region.

Job description
Joining Enabel as a Technical Officer in Clinical Services you will be directly reporting to the Project Manager- We Care and you will perform the following key tasks;
- You will support health facilities' readiness to respond to obstetric emergencies through the dissemination of best practices and planning materials for pregnancy and postpartum care.
- You will support facilities to collect and analyse data, accurately and timely reporting and use of data by facility teams to facilitate improvement on maternal and neonatal health indicators.
- You will develop and deliver training programs for facility staff and healthcare providers.
Your profile
- Bachelors of Midwifery, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
- Master of Science degree in Public Health/Midwifery/Nursing is an added advantage
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with district and regional officials, and other implementing partners
- Valid practicing license from Uganda medical and dental practitioners’ association OR Uganda Nurses and Midwifery Association;
- Deep knowledge of the landscape for Maternal Newborn Child/ Adolescent Health programming in Uganda, including related key Government of Uganda priorities
- Strong clinical skills in midwifery and obstetrics;
- Excellent clinical training and mentoring skills;
- Excellent knowledge of Uganda district and community-level structures.
- Thorough knowledge in developing and implementing data-collection instruments, reporting and learning exercises (evaluation, action research, knowledge building);

- A salary package comprising an Annual gross salary between UGX 84,000,000 and UGX 96,000,000 that is commensurate with experience and in accordance with our salary scales, medical insurance and a 13th-month paid in December.
