Job Summary:
Our client is seeking skilled and experienced Truck Mechanics to join their logistics team in Kinshasa. The ideal candidates will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trucks to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire inspections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engine, transmission, and brake system issues.
• Conduct pre-inspection and post-repair checks to ensure the vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with drivers and supervisors to identify and address vehicle concerns.
• Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools and adhere to safety protocols during repairs.
• Recommend necessary repairs and provide cost estimates to management when required.
• Keep the workshop clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Stay updated on new truck models, repair techniques, and industry standards.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience as a Truck Mechanic, preferably in the logistics industry.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy vehicle systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with various truck brands and models.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for mechanical repairs.
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy equipment and parts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining digital repair logs and accessing diagnostic software.
