Vocational Training Teacher – Catering

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Catering Teacher to provide practical, hands-on training in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills and a commitment to teaching students the necessary skills to excel in the catering and hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach students the fundamentals of catering, including food preparation, cooking, presentation, and kitchen safety.
• Provide hands-on training in a kitchen environment, allowing students to practice skills.
• Assess students' skills and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Ensure the kitchen is safe, clean, and properly organized.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in catering or the culinary arts.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Ability to motivate and guide students in a practical learning environment.
• A catering qualification is required.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus.

Preferred:

• Additional certifications or training in specialized areas of catering.
• Experience in catering events or working in the hospitality industry.

Working Conditions:

•  Working Days: 3 days per week
• Salary: 300,000 UGX during a 3-month probation period.
