Job Description/Requirements
Performing autonomously, specific complex / advanced installation, maintenance works and repairs de-pending on the technician’s specialization (requiring special/ qualifications/training), according to supervisor’s instructions and MS standards and procedures, in order to ensure a proper functioning and maintenance of MSF equipment, installations and infrastructures.
Requirements
Education: Final year in Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, seeking industrial attachment. (Evidence of school’s transcripts in the last exams will be mandatory).
Language: English + Local language (Luganda, etc…)
Experience: At least 2-3 years’ experience in a technical school specializing in Automotive engineering, essential driving license for vehicles, and computer literacy will be an added advantage.

- Performing autonomously, all necessary complex / advanced installations, maintenance, and repairs (i.e. requiring special qualifications/training), according to the supervisor’s instructions and executes any needed tests after any repair or maintenance. Including the following function: Welding Support the administration team to improve the transit system of our expats.
- Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance welding work needed in MSF facilities, equipment, and vehicles and assisting the logistics department for any relative work needed.
Managing the stock of welding consumable items, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, and executing orders necessary for renewing stock in collaboration with the storekeeper to avoid any shortage.
Responsible for the equipment and tools, including acetylene and oxygen cylinders, checking they are correctly stored and safely used, maintaining, and renewing them when necessary, and keeping the inventory updated.
Keeping the working area clean and tidy.
Ensuring that all record sheets and documents related to welding works are always completed.
Preparing needed reports before and after any repair or required maintenance.
Immediately inform the line manager of any problems that arise in the course of the work, particularly regarding damage, loss, theft or attempted break-ins.
Working in collaboration with other specialized technicians and workers, if necessary, or managing a small team of workers if any.
