Why Human Resources Is Important For New Businesses?
It is important to have a professional and experienced team to help with the day-to-day operations of a company. That’s where the human resources professionals come in to can handle all of the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring needs of the business.
They can also handle payroll, benefits, and training. And if you are looking to grow your staff, they can take care of all of that too. Human Resources professionals understand how best to use staff and how many people you need on your team at any given time.
What unique challenges do startups & entrepreneurs face in recruitment?
It’s tough to find the right person when you’re a startup or entrepreneur. There are many challenges that you’ll face in recruitment, and it’s important to know what these are before you start.

The guest speaker shared a few tips for startups and entrepreneurs as they navigate their company’s recruitment challenges. Firstly, they need to ensure that they are scaling their organization sustainably and secondly they need to think about how they will motivate their employees and retain talent. They can do this by being open with staff about the future of the business and planning succession routes so that senior team members feel invested in the long-term success of the company.

Hamza Mutebi, the General Manager of Turaco Uganda, presented a webinar on how start-ups and entrepreneurs can overcome recruitment challenges. Among other things, he discussed issues that entrepreneurs often face including high living costs, prohibitive taxes, and competition in the labor market. In addition to providing practical solutions, he suggests strategies for overcoming these challenges.
